Cebu Bloggers Society, Incorporated celebrates 2nd Anniversary last February 14, 2009. On May 1, 2010, Cebu Bloggers Society will have its 2nd General Assembly and it will be at The Parkmall, Mandaue City. Simultaneous to the General Assembly is the Election of the 15 2010-2010 Board of Trustess, which a President could be appointed from. The blogger of this site, http://www.matudnila.com/ will be there as a member of the Organization for 2 years already.

Parkmall, is very ideal to be the Venue of the event as it is located at the heart of the development center in North Reclamation Project in Mandaue City. I have to insert this, Mandaue City will celebrate its Annual Fiesta this Month! Lets try to check out what they are Preparing for inspite of the National Elections that are Approaching on May 10, 2010. Miss Mandaue Activities are visible already. Going back, Parkmall ha hosted already numerous events. It is just near from Cebu International Convention Center (CICC) where it was once the meeting hall of the Association of the South East Asian Nation (ASEAN). Parkmall has a number of good Restaurants with variety of Food choices, Supermarket lead by SM Savemore and plenty of boutiques to choose from.

The Organizer of the First Cebu Blog Camp is proud to showcase the event to the Queen City of the South, Cebu with Blogging, Expressions and Oppurtunities in mind. The First Cebu Blog Camp, an offline blogging event that focuses on honing the skills of bloggers while they are away from their desktops. This event will gather a large number of bloggers all over Cebu to discuss the latest developments on the Web, Blogging Platforms, Search engines, and making money online.

Cebu Blog Camp can be consider as stepping stone for bloggers to aquiant more of the skill where it also aims to help those just beginning in their blog journey by giving them the basics of blogging. This Blog Camp will comprise of prominent speakers of the different fields of blogging.

One of his major contribution to the country is the introduction of Broadband Connectivity with the vision to boost potential for Call Center and BPOs Employment in the country which needs broadban type of Internet Connection to operate at ease. His Initiative to Information Technology in the country was singling him out from the rest of the Senatorial Candidates.
A promise from him, "A Personal Computer Set for every Filipino Family". That's what Joey de Venecia said when asked about what he will take into the Senate if he wins the Senatorial Race these May 10, 2010. Joey de Venecia will work on a bill that will provide each Filipino Family to own a PC. Attracting IT Companies and other Groups or Foundations to share in the Project and help make these realize so that each Filipino would monitor what is going on in the Governement Processes as everything will be transparent through Internet Connectivity.
We'll he has nice Visions and Ideas. Maybe its because he's a businessman and an Accountant by Profession. If he wins he will have ampful time to realize it.

In two years, blogging in Cebu has ripened from just being a mere online diary to something that takes an active role in civic and social awareness.
One of the factors that contributed to this positive development in the blogging scene in Cebu is the creation of a local blogging community.
 The Cebu Bloggers Society was founded on February 14, 2008, with the main goal of uniting Cebu-based bloggers into a well-bonded community. And indeed, after its creation, individuals with diverse backgrounds but with a common interest, which is to promote Cebu and advocate blogging as a key tool for progress, converged together to establish Cebu’s first and largest blogging community.
The Cebu Bloggers Society has really grown and evolved quite significantly. From its humble beginnings, the group presently has at least 80 members and the number is still bound to increase further.

PCOS means Precinct Count Optical Scanner, the device to be used on the coming National and Local Elections and tagged as 'Automated Elections'. (An image inserted at the left, The actual PCOS machine) A PCOS device expert was their to do demo. The process is not really all throughout automated since we still need to fill up an official ballot by shading and loads it into the PCOS machine. What is automated is the counting of votes comapred to the old procedures where teachers are used to count the casted votes.

I am with other 11 Cebu Bloggers when Balamban Liempo invited us to conduct a Food review with their main course "Balamban Liempo". Well pictures speaks louder than words(As this is a Photoblog) But I cant help to say something regarding their Liempo.
Their Liempo is grilled in "Balamban-Style". Balamban, located at Western part of Cebu is known for its distinct method of grilling Liempo using distinct Local Herbs and traditonally discovered spices.
Aside from the hungry-stimulating smell as it pass by in front of me, It could really make one's diet be forgotten. You can taste the crunchy sensation of the "skin" and the juicy entity of the meat. Plus! the spices! that makes me wonder what are those. We'll as far as other Liempos are concern, They are comparable to Siong Sohnn's Liempo (located in Mactan) minus Balamban Liempo's Spices.
Well, this is not yet the end of this food review. Coz, I wil still go back there to eat more.:)
Overall Food Level is 8 out of 10!

This is my second time meeting a Presidentiable for 2010. Mar Roxas was first that happens last June 11 of this year. MMDA Chairman Bayani Fernando talks to us Bloggers, Writers and Student Leaders of Cebu for his will to serve the country by 2010. Verified from him that he will be running for President for May 2010 election. Bayani Fernando is succesful in his implementations of the ordinances that regulates Traffic and the like, Waste Management and Environmental Concerns, Common good for every citizen in the community by providing basic services and infrastructures within Metro Manila. His supporters stretches the idea that Bayani could also do it to the country what he started in the Metro of 11Million population.
Bayani also talks of education where he inculcates that every textbooks in every year levels should be accomplished within the schoolyear and if not, we need to extend for months just to finished it. He emphasized this point because he sees that this is the main reason why we're behind by other nations in terms of learning. 'I need also to fullfil the benefits that a teacher must have' he adds, this might be the reason why textbooks are not completed as school year ends. I can say that Bayani is a straight-forward type of person with the way he answers our questions. He never hesitate to give counter plans in every problem we presented, and I can say that he is logical type of guy that knows how to solve all things up. He is more on "wisdom before folly" and "Technology against Ignorance". These are his answers with our query regarding our performances in global competition of skills and competencies.
