AMALFI OASIS GROUNDBREAKING, At Citta di Mare, Cebu’s very own City by the Sea
Amalfi Oasis, the first cluster of residential buildings in Citta di Mare held its ceremonial ground breaking activity on Saturday, November 13, 2010. An open house took place before the ground breaking ceremonies at the Amalfi Oasis site. Everyone invited witnessed the momentous occasion. A ceremonial marker was unveiled on-site with Filinvest Land Inc. (FLI) vice chairman Mr. Andrew T. Gotianun, Jr., FLI first vice president Tristan Las Marias and special guests of honor Cebu City Mayor Michael L. Rama and CIPC Managing Director Mr. Joel Mari Yu. The day was capped off with cocktails at the Sugbu Building grounds.

Amalfi Oasis is Filinvest’s first offering of mid rise condominium units in Citta di Mare’s 40-hectare residential zone and will be comprised of around 10 to 12 buildings of at least 5 storeys in height. It is aptly named after its inspiration—a quaint seaside Italian community named Amalfi. Like its namesake, Amalfi Oasis is a perfect location where one can enjoy the coastal scenery and also the spectacular views of the mountains.


Citta Di Mare is poised to become a favored destination not only for Cebuanos and other Filipinos but for tourists and other foreign guests as well. Citta di Mare, your new city by the sea, is on the rise. One that is a unique seaside lifestyle that will change the way people live.
The residential zone, where one can find Amalfi Oasis, will contain various mid-rise residential condominium building clusters interspersed with generous open spaces. Almost all the units in Building 1 have already been accounted for. Filinvest is also ready to open Amalfi Building 2 to interested prospects.
Amalfi Building 1 and Building 2 offer 2-bedroom units (57 sqm) and 3-Bedroom units (113 sqm). Building 1 is expected to start construction by November 2010 and will be available for turnover and occupancy by December 2011.

However, this is the first time we brought an exhibit here,” says Paulino.
The Luster for Life exhibit is composed of six main panels: Palawan South Sea pearls, Luster for Life, The Miracle of the Rare Golden Pearl, European Elegance, An Environmental Gem, and A Nation’s Pride Each segment features a combination of vivid imagery and descriptive text. Also included in the exhibit are the actual tools used for pearl cultivation, a pearl diorama, and some unique pieces that are part of Jewelmer’s fine jewelry collections.

Dubbed “Bijoux Cebu” (Bijoux being a French word for jewelry), this year’s event will be happening on September 18-20, 2010 at Shangri-la’s Mactan Resort And Spa.
The growing global demand for eco-friendly products continues to be an attractive platform for Philippine fashion accessories made from natural materials.
Seeking to maximize on this market demand, the Fashion Accessories Manufacturers and Exporters Foundation Philippines (FAME Foundation) has been holding an annual trade show for Philippine fashion accessories since 2008.

The show will feature our exporters’ Spring-Summer 2011 Collections, with a theme that revolves around nature’s 4 basic elements of earth, wind, fire, and water.
“The demand for all types of eco-friendly products has never been greater and this is equally true for fashion accessories,” said Zeny Uy, Bijoux Cebu Chairman.
“While other countries scramble to add eco-friendly products to their current lines, our exporters have the distinct advantage of already using eco-friendly materials derived from our country’s natural resources for the past 30 years.
As part of our industry’s growth, we now make and use more green components in our products. We even use recycled and waste materials.

We are now building our reputation as Asia’s destination for green jewelry and through Bijoux Cebu, we hope to strengthen it even more.”
The show targets foreign buyers from all over the world, especially those from first-world countries who advocate green living. As early as June of this year, foreign buyers have already been registering to attend the show.
Bijoux Cebu is targeting 200 buyers this year, with exhibitors numbering almost 40. This is about half of all the member exporters of FAME Foundation.
“40 exhibitors is already a big number, seeing that usually only half of that figure join foreign shows abroad,” Uy explained.
“Only a few exporters can join foreign shows due to the high costs involved. This is why Bijoux Cebu is the better alternative for them, as well as for the buyers who can see more exhibitors and have more products to choose from.”

The event will also feature additional attractions and enhancements. These include daily fashion shows, craft demonstrations, design competitions, and highlighted by a gala night for the buyers at the Provincial Capitol Hall.
Aside from the trade show, FAME Foundation is also holding a lifestyle Garden Bazaar at Shangri-la’s gardens. Accommodating 100 exhibitors, this will give foreign buyers and resort guests a unique shopping experience. It is also open to the public.
“Our garden exhibitors will be selling product overruns, fashion accessories, bags, footwear, garments, native crafts, and other novelty items,” Uy said.
“These products are normally not available to local markets, yet for this event, we want to open our doors to the Cebuanos, so that they can also see and appreciate the products of Cebu.We have also adjusted our prices with them in mind.”

The exporters’ show will be open daily from 10:00am to 6:00pm on September 18-20, 2010. The Garden Bazaar will be open daily from 9:00am to 9:00pm on the same dates. Entrance is free.
A free shuttle service is also being provided for the days. Ayala Center Cebu departures are at 9:00am and 2:00pm daily, while return trips from Shangri-la are at 11:00am and 4:00pm daily. SM schedules are still being finalized as of print date.
The event is organized by FAME Foundation Philippines, with the support of PhilExport Cebu, Export Development Council, DTI, DENR, DOST, DOT, Cebu Provincial Government, and Cebu City Government.

Twenty-three New Licensed Massage Therapist from Visayas and Mindanao take their Oath after Passing the June 2 2010 Massage Therapist Licensure Examination conducted by DOH Department of Health in Davao City. Dr. Josie Hipolito, head f the DOH Human Resource Development's Secretariat Office, will administer the Oath-taking Ceremony.

Eleven of the 23 Licensed Massage Therapist are graduates from INA - International NKYR Academy, a DOH Accredited Training Institute for Massage Therapist in Cebu City, five from Ventura College of Natural Therapeutic Health and Sciences in Davao City, three each from Remnant Institute of Alternative Medicine and Hand-Med Integrative Health Care Center from Iloilo and 1 Cebuana trained in Le Petit Parodis in Makati City.
Some of the new Licensed Massage Therapist are already working with famous Resorts like Plantation Bay Resort ans Spa in Mactan Island, Marco Polo Plaza in Cebu, Hilton Cebu Resort and Spa, Boracay Holiday Inn and prominent Massage and Spa outlets nationwide like Yoga Thai Massage Cebu, K1 Spa, and LINGAM Massage Venture.

My weekend never been that stimulating!

After a half day of work from the office then feels the change of setting from routined workaday from Cebu Business Park to upwind Mactan Island where Maribago Bluwater Beach Resort Rests. Via SM Northwing I meet other members of Cebu Bloggers Society(CBS) where Ruben Licera of Pinoyworld.org and PR of Maribago Bluewater Beach Resort.
At exactly 3:00pm on my phone, we jumpstart towards the destination terminus, where She Embraces the Charm Of Island Living: Maribago Bluewater Beach Resort!
When we reached the resort, we are then given a necklace of sea shells (which i fell makes us very special) and offered a Vitamin C enriched drink and introduced to a tour guide that showcases us the first class of its kind Amenities of Maribago Bluewater Beach Resort. First drop is the AMUMA SPA that includes Facial, Body Care, Massage Treatments. Plus the AMUMA Signature Packages : Hilot Journey and Malakas at Maganda(Couples). After the tour is the "little chit chat" with the Resorts Big Boss and Managers. Of course with their artistic means of preparing goods to delights their visitors. Everybody in there enjoy it! I received an email from a friend about the summer event posted above that would be happening starting today at Isla sa Bantayan. Thought its simultaneously held in Holy Week, It is expected to draw crowd from all parts of the country, even aliens.

Others say, especially those that came from there, Bantayan Island could be a substitute of Boracay that is famous of its white sand beaches. Bantayan Island has these qualities that Boracay does. Long white-sanded shoreline and nice accomodation of resorts.
I have never witnessed these qualities yet and I will be expriencing that tomorrow.

I will be going there by tomorrow for a skim session with my friends. I will be spending it a sort of a little vacation, unwind, while observing the traditions of holy week reflections. Its my first time to go there and I'l see what it brings.

Its the time of the year to pause for a while to do reflections. Just do your routine as part of the Catholic Nation.
