This 2018, the 7-Eleven Run slated on February 4, is not just happening in Skyway and Filinvest, Manila like previous years, but, for the very first time, it will take place in Cebu Business Park, Cebu and SM City Davao, Davao at the same time. Our favorite kapitbahay will be bringing families, runners, and people from all ages together for another day of freebies, fitness and fun.
Run 2018 Cebu will feature 8 categories this year, where participants can choose from 3KM race up to an intense 42KM race. In between these two categories, Cebuanos can also join the 5KM Buddy Run, 5KM race, 10KM Buddy Run, 10KM race, 16KM race, and 21KM race. Meanwhile, the Manila and Davao events will have nine and seven categories, respectively.

Run 2018 is also made possible with 7-Eleven’s unique system of self-selected wave starts, allowing participants to choose their wave start and run with people of the same skill or speed.

3 winners in each category will be announced on the race day, and will receive cash prizes and medals. In addition to this, the overall top 3 Filipino male and female placers from all 3 locations of the 21KM and the 42KM categories will also get the chance to join an International Marathon in Asia, all expenses paid.

Registration is done online at www.run711.com and payment is course through any 7-Eleven store within 48 hours. Race Kits can be claimed on the date indicated on the receipt, and from the same store where payment has been made.

The Aboitiz Race to Reduce Challenge: A Race for the Next Gen is coming up!
The race, which features four categories – 3k, 5k, 10k and 21k – will be held on Sunday, August 22, 2010 at the South Road Properties (SRP) in Cebu City, covering the entire stretch of the SRP until parts of Talisay City. Assembly time is at 4 AM and starting gun fires off at 5:00 AM. A relaxing foot massage, a hearty breakfast, and a photo op in front of the Race to Reduce photo wall await runners crossing the finish line.

Aboitiz Race to Reduce Challenge 2010 will promote Greener Environment.
The “race for the next gen” is part of the Aboitiz Group’s information campaign on its sustainability efforts. “We are not just promoting a healthy lifestyle, we want to leave a good home for the next generation,” said Sebastian Lacson, Aboitiz Equity Ventures Chief Reputation Officer.
Aboitiz companies groupwide are participating in an ongoing Race to Reduce Challenge, which encourages employees to reduce their consumption of power, water, and paper. During the Aboitiz Group simultaneous nationwide tree planting in October 2010, a tree will be planted on behalf of every runner who participated in the race.
The Aboitiz Race to Reduce Challenge: A Race for the Next Gen is also a fund-raising project for the Aboitiz Annual Christmas Outreach to be held in the first week of December. During this event, employees spend time with less fortunate children to spread Christmas cheer and joy.

Timing Chips will be provided for 10K and 21K categories.
Runners for the 10k and 21k will use timing chips for accurate, instantaneous results.

A Photo Contest during the Race to Reduce Challenge 2010.
There will also be a photo contest of interesting images captured during the race as it unfolds. Photographers must register to be able to join the contest. Cash prizes are at stake and winning photos will be published in print and online media.

Prices: 1st P3000, medal and Rudy Project eye wear; 2nd P2000, medal and Blood Red gift item; 3rd P1000, medal and Blood Red gift item and 4-10th medal. Registration at Holiday Gym&Spa is only up to March 15 while you can register in RUNNR and Abellana until March 17. Participants is limited to 1,000 runners on a first-come-first served basis.

The first 700 runners to register are assured of their singlets during race packet releasing while the remaining 300 will only receive their race numbers. Singlets for the last 300 registrants can be claimed after the event at Business Box, Ayala on April 5-10, 2010 (4-8PM).
Race packet releasing schedule is on March 18-19 (4-8PM) and March 20 (10AM-8PM) at the second floor of Active Zone, Ayala.
