If you say CEBU CITY, the first thing to come in mind in terms of festivities is SINULOG. When I say LAPU-LAPU CITY or MACTAN ISLAND, what comes first in your mind? Aside from the International 5 Star Beach Resort Hotels, it should be KADAUGAN SA MACTAN. After Lapu-Lapu City gain its distinction of being a Lone Congressional District apart from 6th District under CEBU Province together with neighboring highly-urbanized city of Mandaue, Consolacion and Cordova, more and more competent bigger Events and Activities has been hosted in the "Gateway City to Cebu" Mactan Island. GREAT LAPULAPU RUN 2011
Event Organized by The Lapu-Lapu Tourism, Cultural and Historical Affairs Commission with the support of the Lapu-Lapu City Government.
This event will also serve as the kick-off event for the KADAUGAN SA MACTAN 2011 which will be held on April 24-30, 2011.
Location: Lapu-Lapu City Hall grounds
Registration Deadline: April 15, 2011
Registration fees: P250.00 for the 5K and 10K category and P450.00 for the 21K category (inclusive of complimentary light breakfast, singlet and race/bib number, timing chip will be provided only for the 21K registrants)
Race Prices: A total of P156,000 cash prizes awaits all male and female winners of all categories (from 1st to 5th rank) and medal for the 1st three male and female winners per category.
Plus, The first Filipino male and female winners of the 21k category will be sent to the Singapore Fun Run this coming December 2011.

There will be Raffle prizes like gift certificates from different Hotels and Resorts will be raffled off to all participants during the awarding ceremonies.
Activity Proceeds: This year, the proceeds of this event will be given to the Home Care Center for Children.
